Bruno Batista
Project Director
Bruno is the Project Director for the 400kV Chimuara–Nacala transmission project in Mozambique. In this role, he has acted as the primary interface with the utility, recruited the local team, established the local project office, and continues to guide the team across key Technical, Environmental & Social, Legal, and Financial workstreams. He previously served as Project Coordinator for the 550 km Temane Transmission Project, a major national 400kV infrastructure initiative financed by international donors and investors, which was successfully energised in 2024. An electrical engineer by training, Bruno brings more than 22 years of experience in the railway and energy sectors across Portugal, Spain, Ireland, and Mozambique. He has spent the past 16 years leading complex infrastructure projects in Mozambique, contributing to the country’s long-term energy and development goals.
